i could say so much about what witnessing this birth meant to me. but, words are just not enough. not for this. so, i will be brief.
as a friend, to be invited to share this day like family – it humbled me.
as a photographer, to capture such a truly momentous occasion – it overwhelmed me in the most wonderful way.
as a human being, to see this baby born into the world and take her first breath, make her first sound, meet her parents for the very first time, and open her eyes to take in the world – it was nothing short of miraculous. it moved me.
allen and liz – to be invited to wait with you, to hope with you, to cry with you, and to help you welcome baby june into your family, it meant the world to me – as do you. thank you for your friendship.
